McBride's Pocket Guide to Identifying First Editions
Another indispensable guide, this one is small and "portable." This is probably the best one for those of you new to identifying 1sts.

McBride's Electronic Version of the Pocket Guide


First Editions: A Guide to Identification Known as Zempel's, this is a classic in the bookselling / collecting field. This is a more complex, in-depth book than most on the subject.  It's for those of us who are selling collectible firsts, or who are obsessive collectors

Alibris (For pricing and selling collectible books, including antiquarian and books you would sell on Amazon. You will be selling through Borders and Barnes and Noble when you opt into those programs through Alibris ). Sherry has had much success on this site (with inventory of more than 500), with sales comparable to Amazon.

Ebay (Good way to check what things are actually selling for -- search "completed auctions.". Can sell collectible books at auction or in an Ebay store.)
